Europe's engineering universities built industries — and the relationship runs in both directions. Technical universities across Europe are recognized for research output and for the depth of their ties to industry — and strong engineering programs exist from Portugal to Estonia and from Ireland to Poland, not only in the countries most commonly mentioned.
