This bachelor's program provides a rigorous, research-oriented education in chemistry, built on a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and the core chemical disciplines, and is well suited to students who want to understand chemical phenomena from the molecular to the macroscopic level, enjoy problem-solving and experimental work, and are motivated by challenges in sustainability, materials science, health, and environmental protection. It is delivered over three years in English.

The program opens with introductory mathematics and elementary physics tailored for chemistry students, along with applied mathematics, building the quantitative foundation for the rest of the degree.

The core curriculum covers general chemistry and laboratory safety, a two-part inorganic chemistry sequence, and a two-part organic chemistry sequence, each paired with hands-on laboratory practice, along with chemical thermodynamics and reaction kinetics, electrochemistry, surface and colloid science, and physical chemistry laboratory work. Students also study the fundamentals of analytical chemistry with its own laboratory component, the chemistry of natural organic compounds, digital chemistry, instrumental analysis, and environmental chemistry, complete a required internship, and round out their studies with optional coursework and a thesis.

Laboratory training begins early and continues throughout the degree, with students gaining increasing independence as they progress, supported by strong integration between theoretical coursework and experimental work. Students also have access to a modern, AI-integrated laboratory environment, where they gain hands-on experience with automated measurement systems and wireless data-collection tools, alongside digital skills such as big data management and practical programming in Python.

Students can pursue the degree through a general track or choose to specialize further in analytical chemistry or theoretical chemistry.

Graduates go on to further study in MSc or PhD programs in chemistry or related fields, or pursue careers in chemical laboratories, analytical and quality control units, and research and development, as well as interdisciplinary sectors such as materials science, environmental analysis, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals. Typical roles include laboratory technician or junior chemist, quality control or quality assurance associate, research assistant, environmental or chemical analysis technician, or technical specialist supporting chemical instrumentation and laboratory operations.
Applicants must submit their secondary school certificate and records from their final two years of secondary school, along with a CV, a motivation letter, and a valid passport copy with photo.

English proficiency must be demonstrated at CEFR B2 level in both speaking and writing, through an IELTS Academic score of at least 5.5 overall (with no individual band below 5.5), a TOEFL iBT score of approximately 72 to 90 overall, a Pearson PTE Academic score of at least 61 overall, or another CEFR B2-level English certificate recognized in Hungary.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and include an online oral entrance exam; final rankings are based on a combined evaluation of academic performance, as reflected in the submitted documents, and the results of the entrance exam.
