Living in Stockholm as a Student
Stockholm's SL transport network — metro (Tunnelbana), buses, commuter rail, and trams — is excellent and a monthly student card costs around €50–€70. Most students live in the student corridors managed by SSSB (Stockholm's Student Housing) or AF Bostäder, but waiting lists can be long — apply as early as possible. The city's lunch culture is helpful for budget management: most restaurants offer a dagensrätt (dish of the day) at lunchtime for around €10–€12 including salad, bread, and a soft drink.
