Generally yes. A Mexican 4–5 year licenciatura is considered broadly equivalent to the Spanish Grado (4-year) for master's entry purposes within the Ibero-American space. Some Spanish universities may require a credential evaluation for specific fields (particularly regulated professions like medicine or law), but for most master's programs in humanities, business, social sciences, and sciences, a Mexican licenciatura is directly accepted.

Mexican students apply directly to Spanish universities. Mexican academic credentials (bachillerato, licenciatura) are well-recognized within the Ibero-American academic space. The OEI (Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos) and bilateral Mexico-Spain education agreements facilitate smoother recognition of Mexican degrees compared to non-Ibero-American countries. UNAM, TEC de Monterrey, and UAM degrees are particularly well-recognized at Spanish universities.

Choose your program: studyineurope.eu, university websites. Universities with strong ties to Mexico: Universitat de Barcelona, Complutense de Madrid, Salamanca, Autónoma de Madrid. IE University and ESADE attract Mexican business students.
Language documentation: Check if your target university requires DELE B2 despite native speaker status. If required, DELE B2 as a native speaker is straightforward — register at Instituto Cervantes Mexico for the exam.
Prepare documents: Certificado de bachillerato (apostilled), licenciatura title (apostilled), transcripts (kardex), motivation letter, reference letters, passport.
