Students also take courses in qualitative and quantitative methods and can choose from electives such as leadership in sport, sport and health, sport marketing, and digitalization in sport. There is also a focus on academic research writing and professional development.
In the Economics and Business Administration specialization, the emphasis is on managerial and financial perspectives in sport. Compulsory courses include marketing and financial performance in sport events, applied research in responsible business of sport, and sport branding. Electives include corporate governance, event evaluation, and sustainability assessment. This track suits students aiming to work in sport business environments, such as management roles in clubs, federations, or commercial enterprises, with the support of research and data management training.
Both specializations integrate language and communication studies, including academic writing and project management, especially for international students.
To be eligible for this master's program, applicants must hold a recognized higher education degree that qualifies for master’s-level study in the awarding country. Suitable academic backgrounds include social sciences of sport, sport management, business, economics, other sport sciences, social or administrative sciences, and related fields such as communications or health sciences. Applicants from other disciplines may also be considered if their motivation is well-justified and their previous studies include relevant coursework in sport or business. Separate higher education studies not formally part of a degree may also be taken into account. The degree must be granted by an officially recognized institution, and conditional admission is possible for students still completing their degree, provided certified final documents are submitted on time.
English language proficiency must be demonstrated exclusively through the Academic Readiness Screening (ACRES), conducted by the Centre for Multilingual Academic Communication (Movi) at the university. This assessment includes a written pre-task and an online interview, and applicants must achieve a minimum B2 level in all four components: oral interaction, spoken production, academic reading, and academic writing. No other language tests or exemptions are accepted, and this screening is only available to applicants who meet the educational eligibility criteria and submit all required documents by the stated deadlines.

Required documents include a scanned passport, bachelor's transcripts and, where available, a bachelor's certificate, a curriculum vitae, and proof of relevant sport experience. As part of the admission process, applicants take part in a general online interview and may be invited to a second, more specialized online interview focused on their professional background and experience.
