Q: Is Slovenia an affordable study destination?

Very much so. EU/EEA students pay no tuition at Slovenian public universities (beyond a minimal administrative fee). Non-EU students pay tuition of approximately €3,000–€5,000/year depending on the program. Ljubljana has relatively low living costs compared to Western European capitals.

Q: What language are programs taught in Slovenia?

Slovenian is the primary language of instruction. However, the University of Ljubljana and University of Maribor offer a growing range of English-taught master's programs in business, IT, and natural sciences. Erasmus Mundus programs hosted in Slovenia are entirely in English.

Slovenia uses the eVŠ (Electronic Higher Education) system for application coordination. The University of Ljubljana (UL) is the country's main institution; the University of Maribor is the second largest. Slovenia is a small but welcoming EU study destination with growing English-taught offerings, especially at master's level.
