The Hungarian grading system

In Hungary, students' performance is evaluated by following the grade point scale as indicated in the table below:

(very good, with few errors)

(good, with some errors)

(satisfactory, with many errors)

(sufficient. This is the minimum passing grade)
2

A grade point of 1 is considered as failed.

Institutions may also apply either a three-grade scale (5 (excellent) / 3 (satisfactory) / 1 (fail)) or any other grading system as long as it can be compared with the others.
