It is a Hungarian government scholarship covering full tuition, accommodation, and a monthly stipend. Applications go through your home country's nominating authority (government ministry or organization) and must be submitted by January 15. Selected candidates are then matched with Hungarian universities.

Hungary offers two main application paths for international students: the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program (government-funded, deadline January 15) and direct university applications. Budapest is home to ELTE (Eötvös Loránd University), Corvinus University, and several world-class technical universities.

The Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship is applied for through your home country's nominating authority (usually the Ministry of Education) — not directly through Hungarian universities.

Hungarian medical schools (Semmelweis, Pécs, Debrecen) are popular globally for English-medium programs — the February deadline is firm and seats fill in November–December.

Non-EU students need a Hungarian student residence permit — apply at the immigration office within 30 days of arrival.
