Clinical internships and a research thesis are also required.

To apply for this master's program, students must first complete a preparatory program if their bachelor's degree in physiotherapy was not obtained from an institution in the Flemish Community. Admission to the master’s program requires passing at least 4 out of the 6 preparatory courses, though all must be completed to graduate. English proficiency is mandatory, proven by an IELTS score of 7.0 (minimum 6.5 per section) or a TOEFL iBT score of 90 (minimum 22 per section). Only degrees from fully English-taught programs in Australia, Canada (English-speaking), Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, or the USA are accepted for exemption. Dutch language knowledge at CEFR level A2 is required before clinical internships, with levels 2 or 4 needed for specializations in Children and Mental Health Care. Applicants must also provide documentation of clinical practice hours and course classification using a specific form.
