If you hold a higher education degree from an institution outside Norway and would like to receive an evaluation of your foreign qualifications, you will have to submit your application to NOKUT (Nasjonalt organ for kvalitet i utdanningen), the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, by following the steps as explained below:
01 Fill in the application form with the requested data
02 Along with the application form, you will have to attach attested copies of the documents listed below:
- An attested copy of your academic certificate or university diploma in the original language
- An official transcript of your academic record in the original language
- An attested copy of your passport where personal data can be read
You will also have to attach attested translations of your academic certificate or university diploma and academic record if they were not originally issued in English or any of the Scandinavian languages (Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Icelandic or Faroese).
03 In most cases, the application form and the documentation described above are sufficient to receive an evaluation of your foreign qualifications in Norway. However, in some particular cases you may also have to present additional documentation depending on the country where your degree was awarded.

How long does it take to receive an evaluation of your foreign qualifications?
Although the response time may vary depending on the case, the evaluation of your foreign qualifications takes between 2 and 4 months after all documentation has been submitted. In the event you submit your application and some additional documents are needed, NOKUT will contact you to complete the process.
