If you are an undergraduate student (first cycle student) seeking for a study place at university in Norway, you will have to submit your application through the Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service - NUCAS (Samordna opptak, SO) as explained below:
01Fill in the online application form, called nettsøknad, at Samordna opptak web site before 1 March. You can list up to 10 study programs you are interested in, in order of priority.
[Click here to apply online through Samordna opptak]
02Once you are registered at Samordna opptak, you will receive a form called omslagsark by post. Fill it in with information about your educational background and return it with attested copies of other requested documents like your school leaving certificate.
03By the end of July your university will inform you whether you have been admitted to the study program you selected. Please, note that your educational background and grade point average from your upper secondary school studies will determine whether you qualify for the program/s you applied for.
If you are an EU student, you may convert your grade point by using the European grade converter. If you are not an EU student, you may use the European grades comparison chart to learn how you would score in Europe.
