The Greek grading system varies depending on the level of education.
- Higher education institutions (Universities and Polytechnics) evaluate student perfomance by following the grade point scale below:
| International scale | Greek grade point scale | Description |
|---|---|---|
| A (Excellent) | 8,50 - 10,00 | Ἀριστα |
| B (Very good, with few errors) | 6,50 - 8,49 | Λίαν καλώς |
| E (Sufficient. This is the minimum passing grade) | 5,00 - 6,49 | Καλώς |
- If you are applying for university studies in Greece as an undergraduate student (first cycle), your grades from upper secondary school from your home country will be converted into a grade point scale with a maximum grade point of 20 and a minimum grade point of 10.
If you are en EU student, you can easily convert your grade point to the Greek system with the European Grade Converter
