The application procedure varies depending on whether you plan to study in Finland at a university or at a polytechnic.

• • Polytechnics/Universities of Applied Sciences: they offer a more practical education than universities and are professionally oriented after the labor market needs.
• • Universities: they conduct scientific research and provide study programas based on it.

How to apply for studies at Finnish Universities

Although you can send your application directly to the Finnish university you are interested in, you may also fill in the online joint application form if you intend to study a degree conducted in English.

Please, note that if you register when the application period is closed, you will receive a notification by email when the application period is opened again.

How to apply for studies at Finnish Polytechnics/Universities of Applied Sciences

If you would like to enroll a study program conducted in English at a Polytechnic/University of Applied Sciences, you can send your application directly to the polytechnic of your choice or through the joint application system. If you use the joint application system, you are given the opportunity to list up to 4 study programs you are interested in.
