Tuition fees at university in Austria

Universities in Austria charge a small tuition fee on a per-semester basis depending on whether you are an EU student or you come to study in Austria from a country outside Europe.

Tuition fees for EU students

If you are an EU student, you will have to pay 363,36€ per semester. The tuition fees are always paid in advance before the semester starts. In the event that you take courses at more than one university, you will have to pay the tuition fees only once. Please, observe that the tuition fee is increased by 10% if you pay it during an extended application period.

Tuition fees for students from outside Europe

If you are not an European student, you will have to pay 726,72€ per semester. In the event that you decide to take courses at more than one university, you will have to pay your tuition fee only once.

Tuition fees for students from the least developed countries

Full time students from the least developed countries according to the list below are exempted from paying tuition fees at university in Austria:
