If you apply for studies at a university or polytechnic through the joint application system, you will have to consider the application deadlines as seen below.

The application period begins around November 2009 and runs through February - April 2010 depending on the study program. Please, check at the institution website the specific deadline for the course of your choice.

Application deadlines for studies at Polytechnics in Finland

Study programs conducted in English

• 1 - 11 September 2009: for studies beginning in the spring semester 2010 (closed)
• 11 January - 12 February 2010: for studies beginning in the fall semester 2010 (closed)

The online applications system will open again in August 2010.

Study programs conducted in Finnish and Swedish

• 14 - 25 September 2009: for studies beginning in the spring semester 2010 (closed)
• March - mid April 2010 (tbc): for studies beginning in the fall semester 2010
