The European Research Council logoIf you have an innovative idea but can't turn it into reality because of the lack of resources, your project may qualify for a grant from the European Research Council, a European body that supports researchers from anywhere in the world willing to move to Europe to develop their projects.

How much funding can you receive?

The European Research Council provides grants of up to 3,5 million EUR depending on the type of project and your experience.

How to apply for a grant from the European Research Council?

Firstly, you will have to find a host institution where you, as the Principal Investigator, and your team will develop your project. The grant will be awarded to the host intitution, since it is considered the applicant legal entity.

Once you have found your host institution, you will have submit your application electronically through the EPSS, the Electronic Proposal Submission Service of the European Union.
