Promoting Europe as a world education destination

Quote: We would like the European Higher Education Area to inspire not only our own students and staff, but also those of other continents

Today, studying a degree or part of it abroad has become a vital experience for students in Europe and all over the world to grow personally and professionally. With the creation of a cohesive European Higher Education Area, barriers to academic mobility in Europe have been finally lifted. This scenario is possible thanks to the creation of the ECTS system, the issuance of an internationally agreed Diploma Supplement after the completion of tertiary studies, the development of the Lisbon Convention on the recognition of foreign qualifications, the design of comparable degree structures, or the introduction of the Schengen Visa.

We believe Europe is a great place not only to live in, but also to study. We are confident that cross-border education in Europe contributes to advance a common European conscience and citizenship and strengthen Europe’s position in our globalized world.

Our commitment

Our ultimate goal is to provide the educational community with key and trustworthy information about tertiary studies in Europe, with the aim of affording it the opportunity to benefit entirely from the array of educational, professional and social opportunities created by the establishment of the cohesive European Higher Education Area.
